The 1952 Topps Yogi Berra #191 card is just one of may keys to the set. Berra was one of the greatest catchers to ever play the game, and excelled at all fascets of the position including offense, defense and handling pitchers and calling pitches. Yogi won 10 World Series titles with the Yankees and three league MVP awards as well, the same number of MVP’s that teammate Mickey Mantle won in his career.
The 1952 Topps Yogi Berra card was voted as one of the top 200 cards in the hobby by PSA. Berra is shown from about the waist up in what looks to be a kneeling (on one knee) stance, wearing the classic NY pinstripes and a hat that looks like it’s seen the sun of several seasons worth of games. As with every card in the 1952 set, this card is very difficult to find in great condition thanks to the poor centering and poor print quality of 1952.
